The Canadian-American Women's Committee was founded by Vera Beggs and Cairine Wilson in 1941. They sought to develop appreciation and cooperation between the 2 countries through increased knowledge. The organization sponsored educational conferences, field study trips for college students and teachers, student exchanges, teacher exchanges, and lecture tours.
